- Peel and de-seeds the karela. Wash, chopped and marinated with salt for 20 minutes. After that squeeze the karela and thoroughly wash under running water. Boil karela with ample amount of water for 10 minutes and drain the water. Add milk with karela and make it paste.

- Boil the milk for 15 minutes. Add sugar and boil for another 5 minutes. Mix custard powder in normal milk and pour in boiling milk. It become thick. Switch of the gas,add vanilla extract and keep for cool.
- Beat fresh cream with icing sugar and vanilla essence.
- Pour karela sweet in a serving glass for bottom layer, second layer is to be custard and lastly pour wipped cream.
- Topped with caramelized cashew and pudina leaves. Karela delite is to serve.
