The ingredients needed to make Bharwa krela bitter gourd:
- Prepare 5-6 Karela/bitter gaurd
- Take 3-4 onion medium size
- Prepare 2 Green chillies
- Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Make ready 1/2 tsp chat masala
- Get 1/2 tsp dry mango powder(amchur)
- Take to taste salt
- Make ready 2 tsp oil for fry
As a kid, I hated this veggie a lot and off course my kids also would not like it. Wash all the karelas (bitter gourds) well with water as we are going to clean the top part, sort of zest the karela and use the zest of karela for stuffing. Then using a vegetable peeler, peel the bumpy top part and collect in a bowl. Once done with all of them, add ½ tsp salt to this and mix and cover.
Instructions to make Bharwa krela bitter gourd:
- First of all peel out bitter gourd.
- Cut to one side and remove seeds.
- Sprinkle salt for 2 hour.
- Then squeeze the water.this water is bitter.
- Take a pan and add 1tbsp oil.
- Add mashed onion and green chilli.
- Bake it for 10 to 15 mint. Add salt, tarmric powder, red chilli powder, chat masala and amchur.
- Then onion masala fill the bitter gourd with masalas.
- Then take another pan and add oil.
- Then fry bitter gourd….
- Your bharva Karela is ready.
Then using a vegetable peeler, peel the bumpy top part and collect in a bowl. Once done with all of them, add ½ tsp salt to this and mix and cover. Stuffed bitter gourd has become my latest favourite recipe. I tried it for the first time few days back and now i am making it more often than you think. It has become my go to recipe whenever i make bitter gourds.
