Chop onion lengthwise and tomato roughly. Wash the bitter gourd and slice it into thin semi circles. I added little salt to this while cooking. Cook in a medium flame till it becomes soft.
Steps to make Bitter gourd masala:
- Slit karela and marination with salt keep aside for hour
- Wash it properly
- Heat oil in pan add karela for shallow fry
- In grinder jar make coarsely paste of ginger garlic onions green chillies coriander leaves
- In green masala add dry spices mix it properly
- Stuff masala in karela and cook for ten minutes on low flame till masala cook serve with roti or side dish
I added little salt to this while cooking. Cook in a medium flame till it becomes soft. Karela sabji is nothing but the bitter gourd slices fried and added to an onion tomato masala. The karela masala recipe is not only tasty but also not bitter. The way we prepare this recipe takes out the bitterness from the karelas.
