Mian jin / seitan / gluten is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. Mian jin / seitan / gluten is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They’re nice and they look fantastic.

- Boil in plenty of water (or stock, with our without soy sauce, with sugar and or vinegar, the options are endless to create a certain colour and flavour) for 30 minutes or until the loaves are cooked through
- Makes (at least) 500 g finished product
- Cut in pieces and use as meat in stir fries and other dishes

Others, Miànjīn always are connected with Liangpi, Liangpi is also a fantastic food in western China. Although it may be new to the west, mian jin or seitan is a vegetarian food that has been eaten in Asia for hundreds of years. Besides, Asian vegetarian restaurants often use it used to simulate pork, poultry, beef, or even seafood, due to its ability to take on the texture and flavor of meat or seafood.
