Stuffed Bitter gourd taste so delicious when served with some hot rice along with a drizzle of ghee.

The ingredients needed to make Stuffed bitter gourd:
- Make ready 250 gm bitter gourd small size
- Get 1/2 cup gram flour
- Get 1 big size onion
- Prepare 1 tsp Dry mango powder
- Take 1 tsp Fennel seeds
- Get 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- Take 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- Get 1 tsp Coriander powder
- Get As needed Oil
In a non-stick pan add the peanut oil , once hot, reduce the flame and place the bitter gourds, shallow fry covered with a lid / cover on each side till crisp and golden brown in colour. Stuffed Bitter Gourd is somewhat like a dumpling or your regular siomai. Instead of wrapping the filling in a dumpling wrapper, the filling is stuffed in sliced bitter gourd or ampalaya. Who said Karela / Bitter Gourd is not tasty.
Instructions to make Stuffed bitter gourd:
- First peel off the bitter gourd
- Keep the peeling aside now slit off the bitter guard from between and take out all the seeds now add salt to bitter guard and keep it aside for 15 min.
- Now make a stuffing take a pan add 1tbsp of oil and add onion andginger garlic and green chili paste saute it then add gram flour and all the spices mentioned above
- Saute this stuffing for 4_5 minutes
- Now take bitter gourd squeeze all the salt water from it and shallow fry it cook almost 80%
- Stuff the bitter gourd with stuffing
- Now again take a pan add 2 tbsp of oil and stuffed bitter gourd cover it for 5-7 min. Until it cooks completely
Instead of wrapping the filling in a dumpling wrapper, the filling is stuffed in sliced bitter gourd or ampalaya. Who said Karela / Bitter Gourd is not tasty. Well it is bitter we agree, but this stuffed Karela with typical Gujarati cuisine influences will make sure that we change the bad name that Bitter gourd has 🙂 Karela is called as Kadavi Lobhi in Gujarati, Pavakkai in Tamil, Hagalkai in Kannada, Kakkarakaya in Telugu or Pavaykka in Malayalam. Then stuffed the karela with the filling to prepare the yummy, delicious and healthy stuffed bitter gourd ready to be served. This method takes even less time than the deep-fried method.
